Orion H. Bell IV

Orion Bell is President and CEO of Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, an independent, not-for-profit organization engaged in direct services, applied research, and advocacy on behalf of older adults.  Orion has over 30 years of leadership experience in not-for-profit management and services for older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers. His work includes a focus on collaboration between healthcare providers and community service organizations to address social determinants of health, quality of care and health outcomes. 

Orion is a member of the American Society on Aging, where he serves as a member of the Economic Security Advisory Council and the Generations Editorial Advisory Board.  He is a member of the Gerontological Society of America. His policy and advocacy efforts also include serving on the advisory councils of the Health Policy Institute of Ohio and the Ohio Long-Term Care Advisory Council of the Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University of Ohio.  He is a past member of the USAging Board of Directors and currently serves on the advisory committee of USAging’s Innovations in Family Caregiver Services and Supports.

Orion previously served as President and CEO of CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions, the Area Agency on Aging in Indianapolis, Indiana. This followed a career with the American Red Cross in various leadership roles. He holds a certificate in organizational leadership from Harvard University. Bell earned both Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Louisville.
