A clinician, Dr. Maiden, applies a practitioner-scientist model in his psychotherapy. He has presented over 125 papers at regional, national and international conferences, published over 50 articles, book chapters, and a co-authored book. His writings focus on rural aging and clinical psychology. He maintains a private practice in a rural community. Thus, he is a generalist; he counsels family and individual patients, as he likes to say from the womb to the tomb. Dr. Maiden is certified in alcohol and substance use counseling by the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (Master Addiction Counselor) Certificate No. 511953. He also is a Board-Certified Diplomate-Fellow in Psychopharmacology, which was awarded by the International College of Prescribing Psychologists and the Prescribing Psychologists’ Register, December 1996.

Dr. Maiden resides in Wellsville, New York. He is married and has four adult children. For relaxation, he enjoys playing golf but when the golfing is not going well, he enjoys a good read at the beach.
